CONSISTENCY OF THE PERFORMANCE OF AIR FILTERS FOR LAMINAR FLOWS OF CLASS 100 AND BELOW.

DE L'HOMOGENEITE DES PERFORMANCES DES FILTRES A AIR POUR FLUX LAMINAIRES DE CLASSE 100 ET MOINS.

Type of article: Article

Summary

VERY EFFICIENT ULPA FILTERS SHOULD BE TESTED INDIVIDUALLY AND A MANUFACTURER HAS RECENTLY DEVELOPED EQUIPMENT THAT CAN BE USED IN PRODUCTION TO GIVE THE ORIGINAL EFFICIENCY OF THE FILTER AND AN INDICATION OF THE TEST FLOW RATE AND PRESSURE DROP. FOR LAMINAR FLOWS, THE AIR VELOCITY AT THE OUTLET OF THE FILTER SHOULD BE REGULAR AND MEASUREMENTS OF THIS HOMOGENEITY ARE DESIRABLE. THE RESULTS OF THESE MEASUREMENTS ON 6 TYPES OF ULPA FILTERS ARE GIVEN. J.L.
