Containment in refrigerating plant: properties of piping and joints.

Confinement des installations frigorifiques : caractérisation de raccords et liaisons.

Summary

In a refrigeration system, a number of components are sources of leakage: joints, solders, mechanical seals, valves, pressure gauges. Leakage can be reduced by improvements in design, implementation and maintenance of systems. Today, the regulations in force do not require leakage rate limits, this being due to lack of sufficient information on facilities and their losses per category. To be efficient, implementation of regulations requires several actions that are essential to the profession.
