Summary

NOTES THAT RECENTLY IN THE UK AND PARTICULARLY IN SCOTLAND DOMESTIC VENTILATION SYSTEMS HAVE BEEN CONSIDERED AS A MEANS OF REDUCING CONDENSATION IN EXISTING HOUSING STOCK. PRESENTS A SIMPLE VENTILATION MODEL WHICH IS SUITABLE FOR VENTILATION SYSTEMS WITH A HEAT RECOVERY UNIT. USES FIELD DATA OF TEMPERATURE AND RELATIVE HUMIDITY TO ESTIMATE AIR SUPPLY AND EXTRACT RATES FOR INDIVIDUAL ROOMS BY APPLYING THE MOL PRESENTS SOME RESULTS OBTAINED FROM A TEST HOUSE VENTILATED USING A SUPPLY AND EXTRACT SYSTEM WITH A HEAT RECOVERY UNIT.
