Control system for inductively coupled superconductive magnets.

Author(s) : TROFIMOV V., CHERNOV N., KOVALEV A., et al.

Summary

The aim of this experiment is increasing of the density of cold polarized targets for the internal beams of the storage accelerator rings. The experimental setup consists of three spatially separated but inductively coupled superconducting coils. The control system for these coils consists of stable current supply with current up to 200 A, coils quenching detectors with reaction time of about 10ms, precision 3-channel magnetometer designed for measurements with 3-dimensional Hall probe, and control of the important experimental parameters like liquid helium level, etc. The results of the system tests are presented, including current management in the inductively coupled coils analysis.
