DYNAMIC OPERATION DOES NOT REQUIRE SOPHISTICATED CONTROL SYSTEMS IF ENERGY INPUT IS CONTROLLED BY OUTDOOR AIR CONDITIONS AND VARIABLE OUTSIDE AIR VENTILATION IS PROVIDED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SURPLUS ENERGY AVAILABLE. THE STORAGE EFFECT OF A BUILDING AND CONTENTS MAY BE USED FOR THERMAL AND VENTILATION STORAGE WITH VARIATIONS IN INDOOR TEMPERATURES AND HUMIDITY LEVELS STAYING WITHIN THE COMFORT LEVELS FOR OCCUPANTS. EXAMPLES OF BUILDINGS CONVERTED ARE GIVEN WHICH RESULTED IN REDUCTIONS IN COOLING AND HEATING ENERGY OF APPROXIMATELY 50%.
