Summary
Reversible cooling/heating floors linked to a heat pump is now mature, environmentally friendly technology. Heat pumps are considered as having a bright future: 70% of the energy used comes from the ground, water or air. Builders of one-family homes are gradually installing these systems: they are offering their clients houses equipped with reversible heat pumps. Sales have risen fast since 1997, and this speaks for itself. Manufacturers of heat pumps have reduced the noise levels, improved the COP and the design. The heat pump/heating/cooling floor option is one of the best solutions available today in terms of performance.
