Summary

This study proposes new type of general correlations for the heat and mass transfer coefficients in an airsolution contactor of a liquid desiccant system. Unlike the correlations available in the literature to date, the correlations proposed in this study include both local coefficients from the air and solution sides and their thermophysical properties. By doing so, changes in air and solution conditions during both dehumidification and regeneration processes can be properly integrated.
