Type of article: Article

Summary

The aim of this study was to determine whether or not teeth can be preserved while awaiting transplantation. The 54 teeth investigated retained viability and the periodontal ligament cells retained their differentiation capability. These finding suggest that donor teeth stored in tooth banks will become a reality. [Reprinted with permission from Elsevier. Copyright, 2005].
