Summary

THE I-V CHARACTERISTIC AND CURRENT CARRYING CAPACITY OF TWO MULTIFILAMENTARY SUPERCONDUCTING COMPOSITES FOR 50 HERTZ APPLICATIONS HAVE BEEN INVESTIGATED. SEVERAL COMBINATIONS OF DIRECT CURRENT AND ALTERNATING CURRENT TRANSPORT CURRENT AND DIRECT CURRENT AND ALTERNATING CURRENT EXTERNAL MAGNETIC FIELD WERE USED. THE EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS ARE COMPARED WITH THE THEORETICAL CALCULATIONS. IT IS SHOWN THAT THE THEORY ENABLES THE CURRENT CARRYING CAPACITY AT 50 HERTZ TO BE ESTABLISHED WITH SATISFACTORY ACCURACY.
