Summary

The paper deals with continual air dehumidification by means of solid sorption mediums. After a short description of the sorption mechanisms and the properties of solid sorption mediums, continuously operating air dehumidifiers are described. The construction and the mode of operation of rotary air dehumidifiers are described in detail. Newly developed machines for low dew-points are presented. Finally, typical fields of application in the pharmaceutical and food industries, of drying synthetic granulate and of inhibiting corrosion are described.
