Decentralized control systems for HVAC.
Author(s) : ZAHEER-UDDIN M.
Summary
The application of decentralized controller design methods to HVAC systems is explored. The differences between centralized and decentralized control systems are illustrated with examples. A decentralized controller is designed for a multizone space-heating system, and the output responses of the resulting closed-loop system are examined. Results show that the zone temperature response with decentralized control is very close to the response of the system with centralized control.
