Type of article: Periodical article

Summary

THE PROJECT IS TO STUDY POSSIBLE HARMFUL DEGRADATION PRODUCTS FORMED BY DIFFERENT GLYCOLS USED IN SOLAR COLLECTOR SYSTE PARTICULAR ATTENTION WILL BE PAID TO PRODUCTS THAT ARE CORROSIVE OR WHICH MAY POSSIBLY ACCELERATE DEGRADATION OF THE CORROSION INHIBITORS. IT WILL INCREASE KNOWLEDGE AS TO WHAT ACTUALLY TAKES PLACE IN GLYCOL/WATER SYSTEMS. THE RESULTS OBTAINED WILL BE A POSITIVE CONTRIBUTION TO THE POSSIBILITIES OF REDUCING CORROSION IN DIFFERENT HEAT EXCHANGER SYSTEMS. THE PROJECT IS THEREFORE OF INTEREST TO BOTH THE SOLAR HEATING, GROUND HEATING AND HEAT PUMP SECTORS AND TO MANUFACTURERS OF FITTINGS. (SYNOP. SWED. BUILD. RES., SE., N 5, 1986/06, 12.
