Desiccative evaporative cooling: an evolution in air conditioning.
Koelen door verdampen: een ontwikkeling in de klimaattechniek.
Author(s) : GOOSSENS L. N. F. M.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The article gives a description of desiccative evaporative cooling, as an alternative for normal air conditioning. It is a combination of adsorption, heat recovery and adiabatic cooling, which enables to cool below dewpoint, with water as refrigerant and a very low energy consumption. It can easily be operated by the use of waist energy or solar heat, even if available at rather low temperatures.
