Summary

The design and manufacture of a new type of fan coil are presented. Its distinctive feature is a very limited depth. The fan coil performance was measured and it is demonstrated that a thermal useful power per unit frontal area similar to that of traditionally available apparatuses is obtainable. The heat transfer matrix that was tested features a single-tube rank and a very small fin pitch.
