The aim of the article is mostly to underline the factors that make advantageous the use of a cross flow fan in a fan coil unit as an answer to a particular demand of the market. The article shows the historical evolution of this kind of fan and the working principle, the component features, and the operating range of a fan coil unit equipped with cross flow fan, taking into account the possibility of improving some of the components.
