THE ARTICLE OUTLINES THE HEAT OF REJECTION RELATIVE TO EVAPORATOR LOAD AND TEMPERATURE PARAMETERS FOR VAPOUR COMPRESSION SYSTEMS. THE OPTIMUM USE OF THIS FOR WATER HEATING IS DISCUSSED. TYPES OF HEAT EXCHANGER AND SYSTEMS OF WATER PUMPING ARE SUGGESTED TOGETHER WITH CONTROL METHODS. THE AUTHOR WARNS THAT A FULL ANALYSIS OF THE HEAT RECOVERY EFFECT ON THE REFRIGERATION SYSTEM IS ESSENTIAL, THE INCREASE IN CONDENSING TEMPERATURE REQUIRED MAY CAUSE AN ECONOMIC INBALANCE. D.W.H.
