Summary

IN BUILDINGS HAVING A LARGE NUMBER OF ROOMS, SUCH AS HOTELS, HOSPITALS OR OFFICE BUILDINGS, AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS ARE REQUIRED WHICH WILL GIVE SEPARATE CONTROL OF THE MICROCLIMATE IN EACH ROOM. THE TENDENCY NOWADAYS IS TO DESIGN SYSTEMS WITH INDUCTION OR FAN COIL DEVICES. GIVES A PRACTICAL AND THEORETICAL APPROACH TO THE DESIGN OF TWO-PIPE AND FAN COIL CHANGE-OVER SYSTEMS, WHICH ARE MOST COMMONLY MET WITH IN PRACTICE. THE MOST IMPORTANT CHARACTERISTICS OF THESE SYSTEMS ARE DESCRIBED, AND A WORKING PROCEDURE GIVEN IN AN ACTUAL EXAMPLE.
