Summary

The Building Assessment Survey and Evaluation (BASE) study is a continuing study collecting data with the goal of defining the status of existing building stock with regard to IAQ and occupant perception. Presents a summary of building descriptions and the results of thermal comfort measurements for the 16 buildings sampled during 1995. Occupant perceptions from a self-administered questionnaire are used to calculate a six-symptom building symptom index which is also reported as well as the prevalence of individual symptoms.
