Development in high efficiency Scotch-Yoke type compressor for household refrigerator using HFC-134a.

Summary
A new light-weight refrigerator compressor using HFC-134a has been developed, which has given an excellent performance. The newly developed compressors are 25% higher in volumetric efficiency and 22% higher in COP than conventional compressors. The paper describes how performance was improved.
