DESCRIPTION OF AN AUTOMATIC COOLING SYSTEM BUILT FOR A LABORATORY SCALE SUPERCONDUCTING MAGNET. SPECIAL VALVES WERE DESIGNED FOR THE LIQUID HELIUM AND NITROGEN FEEDS AND THE MAGNET IS AUTOMATICALLY IMMERSED IN HELIUM AFTER BEING PRECOOLED BY NITROGEN.
