DEVELOPMENT OF A RESIDENTIAL GAS ABSORPTION HEAT PUMP.

Summary

A RESIDENTIAL ABSORPTION HEAT PUMP SYSTEM HAS BEEN DEVELOPED BASED ON A NEW ABSORPTION PAIR. THIS NEW SYSTEM USES R123A AS THE REFRIGERANT AND ETFE (ETHYLTETRAHYDROFURFYLETHER) AS THE ABSORBER. THE PROPERTIES OF THIS NEW PAIR, ARE QUITE SATISFACTORY, ESPECIALLY FOR A HEAT PUMP APPLICATION. ACTUAL TESTS SHOW THAT HEATING COPS IN THE RANGE OF 1.50 ARE POSSIBLE WITH THE SYSTEM.
