Summary

WORKS OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT WERE UNDERTAKEN TO MAKE AVAILABLE STEAM VOLUMETRIC COMPRESSORS ALREADY USED IN INDUSTRY FOR AIR COMPRESSION. CENTRIFUGAL STEAM COMPRESSORS WERE DEVELOPED FOR HIGHER ROTATIONAL SPEED. NEW CONCEPTS ARE NOW DEVELOPED TO INSURE A SATISFACTORY BEHAVIOUR OF MATERIAL FOR CORROSION, TO REPLACE GEAR BOXES AND TO SIMPLIFY SEALINGS.
