Summary

Technology was developed enabling the detection and estimation of depth of stress corrosion cracks (SCC) from above a paint layer. The technology is capable of detecting SCC of a depth of at least 1 mm, and is capable of estimating the depth of SCC of a depth of at least 3 mm. The efficiency of inspection for SCC is improved as a result of primary diagnosis (AE testing) and secondary diagnosis (UT testing).
