THE ARTICLE PRESENTS THE PRINCIPLES AND DESCRIBES THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE DIGITAL CONTROL, WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO THE FOLLOWING ELEMENTS:ANALOGUE-TO-DIGITAL CONVERTER, DIGITAL-TO-ANALOGUE CONVERTER, MULTIPLEXER, MICROCOMPUTER (STRUCTURE, OPERATION, PROGRAMMING). IT ALSO PRESENTS THE CONVENTIONAL CONTROL ALGORITHMS AND THE MODE FOR TRANSMITTING DIGITAL DATA. AS A CONCLUSION, THE ADVANTAGES OF DIGITAL CONTROL WITH RESPECT TO ANALOGUE CONTROL ARE MENTIONED.
