Summary

RESULTS OF THE ELECTRICAL RESISTIVITY EXPERIMENTS ARE PRESENTED FOR ELEVEN TERNARY SUPERCONDUCTING COMPOUNDS OF THE FORM R5T4X10 (R= SCANDIUM, YTTRIUM AND LUTETIUM; T= COBALT, RHODIUM, IRIDIUM AND OSMIUM; X = SILICIUM OR GERMANIUM). UPPER CRITICAL MAGNETIC FIELD RESULTS ARE PRESENTED FOR SIX COMPOUNDS. ELECTRICAL RESISTIVITY EXPERIMENTS SHOW STRONG NEGATIVE CURVATURE FOR SOME COMPOUNDS (THREE) AND A SHARP ANOMALY AT LOW TEMPERATURE (ABOUT 100 K) FOR TWO COMPOUNDS. ANALYSIS OF THE UPPER CRITICAL MAGNETIC FIELD YIELS RELATIVELY LARGE VALUES OF THE SLOPE AT THE CRITICAL TEMPERATURE (10 KILO-OERSTEDS/K) AND OF THE MAGNETIC FIELD AT 0 K (60 KILO-OERSTEDS) FOR ONE COMPOUND (YTTRIUM, OSMIUM, GERMANIUM) AND INDICATES THAT THERE IS LITTLE OR NO PAULI LIMITING IN SIX OTHER SAMPLES.
