Author(s) : BRUGGER P., KEGEL B.

Summary

A NEW OFFICE BUILDING WITH A DISPLACEMENT VENTILATION SYSTEM WAS BUILT. MOST IMPORTANT DECISIONS HAD TO BE MADE IN THE CONCEPT AND DESIGN STAGES. THEREFORE EXTENSIVE ENERGY SIMULATION CALCULATIONS AND DETAILED TESTS IN THE LABORATORY WERE PERFORMED. THE RESULT WAS A CONCEPT WITH LITTLE ENERGY CONSUMPTION AND VERY COMFORTABLE WORKING CONDITIONS. AIR VELOCITY AND TURBULENCE MEASUREMENTS SHOWED LEVELS MUCH LOWER THAN CONVENTIONAL AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS.
