DESCRIBES THE EXPERIMENTAL DETERMINATION OF THE OPTIMAL CONFIGURATION, IE THAT WHICH ACHIEVES THE MINIMUM STEADY-STATE RATE OF HEAT GAIN BY THE COLDER SUPPLY PIPE FOR GIVEN CONDITIONS. FINDS THE BEST RESULTS ARE OBTAINED WITH THE RETURN PIPE ABOVE THE SUPPLY PIPE, WHICH DIFFERS SIGNIFICANTLY FROM THE TRADITIONAL SIDE-BY-SIDE ARRANGEMENT OF DISTRICT COOLING PIPELINES. (INT. BUILD.
