Type of article: Periodical article
Summary
DESCRIBES A THERMODYNAMICALLY BASED MATHEMATICAL MODEL GIVING THE TRANSIENT AND STEADY STATE RESPONSES OF A SMALL VAPOUR COMPRESSION HEAT PUMP. USES THE MODEL AS A VEHICLE TO ANALYSE MODELLING TECHNIQUES. STATES GENERAL COMPONENT MODELS ARE REQUIRED WHICH CAN BE LINKED FLEXIBLY TO PRODUCE ANY SYSTEM LAYOUT. ARGUES THAT THESE SHOULD BE DEVELOPED USING STRUCTURED ANALYSIS AND DESIGN TECHNIQUES SO THAT THEY ARE MORE EASILY MODIFIED, MAINTAINED AND CORRECTED THAN AVAILABLE MODELS. (INT. BUILD. SERV.
