Dynamic fabric energy storage.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The mass of a building structure can be used as a thermal store, to be cooled by night air and absorb part of the heat load by convection or radiation through the day. Some heating can be provided at other times. Mechanical cooling plant can be reduced or avoided. A research programme by BSRIA (UK) will seek to evaluate and model these effects. A.R.T.
