Le marquage CE.

Summary
A European directive is a compulsory regulation including basic technical requirements, whose aim is to enable free circulation of "safe" products all over Europe. The label "EC" certifies compliance with these requirements. One easy access to technical compliance is the use of harmonised standards. Product certification, beyond EC labelling, testifies to its compliance with particular specifications set by other standards or systems of reference.
