Summary

THE DEPENDENCE OF EQUIVALENT TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCE FOR AN EXTERNAL WALL ON ITS MASS AND THE POSITION OF A POSSIBLE INSULATING MATERIAL IS DISCUSSED, CONSIDERING INTERNAL ROOMS WITH DIFFERENT OVERALL MASSES AND DIFFERENT MASS DISTRIBUTION BETWEEN THE COMPONENTS OF THE ROOMS. THE RESULTS PRACTICALLY SHOW THAT ASHRAE AND CARRIER METHODS GIVE MAXIMUM EQUIVALENT TEMPERATURES WHEN CONSIDERING MEDIUM WEIGHT OR HEAVY WALLS.
