Effect of insulation on stability of cable-in-conduit (CIC)-type forced-cooled superconducting coils.

Summary

The relationship between stability of superconductor and structure of the CIC-type conductor is discussed by studying the simple estimation of work by strand movement and results of stability tests of small coils wound by five kinds of CIC-type niobium titanium conductors.
