EFFECT OF THE FOUNDATION BOUNDARY CONDITIONS AND THE TYPE OF BASEMENT ON HEAT LOSSES.
[In German. / En allemand.]
Author(s) : SOBOTKA P.
Type of article: Article
Summary
DESCRIBES 3 UP-TO-DATE STEADY-STATE CALCULATION METHODS FOR DETERMINING THE HEAT LOSSES THROUGH FOUNDATIONS AND BASEMENTS. COMPARES THE CALCULATED HEAT BALANCES WITH EACH OTHER AND WITH THE RESULTS OF MEASUREMENTS GIVEN IN ANOTHER ARTICLE. THE RESULTS OF THE COMPARISONS MADE ITPOSSIBLE TO ANALYSE THE CALCULATION METHODS AND THE POTENTIAL FOR ENERGY CONSERVATION IN BUILDING UNDERGROUND. PROVIDES CONCLUSIONS CONCERNING THERMAL INSULATION, HEAT LOSS, HEAT GAIN AND OPTIMUM STRUCTURAL SOLUTIONS AS WELL AS THE NEED FOR FURTHER INVESTIGATIONS. (INT. BUILD. SERV. ABSTR., GB., 25, N 6, 1990/11-12, 90-01837.
