Effects of oil on a transcritical carbon dioxide air-conditioning system: some experiences.

Author(s) : WUJEK S. K., HRNJAK P. S.

Summary

This paper presents some experience related to oil effects when running a prototype transcritical air-conditioning system with R-744 as the refrigerant. The system is described and the effects of oil and oil separator quantified. Experiences with different orientations of the sampling cylinder are presented and related to miscibility for the PAG oil used.
