Efficiency of absorption heat pumps.

Author(s) : LABIDI J., PARIS J.

Summary

Several attempts were been made to define the real efficiency of an absorption heat pump. Second law analysis and especially exergy analysis provides an assessment of the degree of thermodynamic perfection of a process. Several exergy efficiency coefficients have been proposed. Different methods of analysis were applied to absorption heat pumps and the results are presented. It is shown that some exergy efficiency coefficients are equivalent and others have limited practical interest.
