Summary
Experience gained in other areas is allowing EC motors to develop as direct drives for turbocompressors, to handle the large volume flow rates of the natural working fluids in refrigeration and air conditioning. The improved efficiency compared to today's systems will reduce energy consumption and thus offer a cost-effective operating drive system.
