Summary

A COMPUTER MODEL HAS BEEN DEVELOPED FOR A RAPID SIMULATION OF SPACE HEATING SYSTEMS IN DWELLINGS, USING TWO DIFFERENT SOURCES OF ENERGY: AN OIL BOILER AND A HEAT PUMP. THE MODEL TAKES INTO ACCOUNT THE VARIABLE THERMAL EXCHANGES, BUT USES A BIN METHOD FOR OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE AND ITS DAILY AMPLITUDE. THE MODEL HAS BEEN USED FOR MORE THAN HUNDRED SIMULATIONS AND THE AUTHORS SHOW THE INFLUENCE OF THE HEATING COMPONENTS SIZING ON THE SEASONAL CONSUMPTION OF ELECTRIC POWER AND OIL.
