Summary
The features of an energy system designed for heating and cooling of a recreational centre with an ice rink and swimming pool have been presented in the paper. With the aim of total cost minimization, the building and energy system are considered as a merged system. The enhanced thermal insulation and measures for rational energy utilization lead to lower capacities of the thermal system, lower energy consumption and lower emissions of harmful gasses. The paper presents measures for the accomplishment of the given objectives. The system, utilizing condensed heat produced during the operation of the refrigeration system, is described. Results of simulation for annual energy consumption and the comparison of analyzed systems with conventional heating and cooling system are given.
