Energy characteristics refrigeration machines with effective heat-exchange devices.

Author(s) : KARIMOV K.

Summary

Results of numerical investigations of the refrigerating machines with effective compact heat-exchange devices are given in this work. Heat transfer intensification in heat-exchange devices achieve by horizontal profiled pipe. Pipe construction with transverse grooves on the outer side and smoothly delineated ridges inside ensures simultaneous intensification of heat emission both in the outside and in the inside of the pipes. It is absolutely obvious that the criterion, which represents both indices uniquely, is advised to use to compare and evaluate heat-exchange device's effectiveness objectively. Energy coefficient of efficiency serves as such a criterion for assessment of energy characteristics. Combined exergy index is used in this work to evaluate surface characteristics, as heat-exchange surface belongs neither to thermodynamic nor to economic indices, occupying an intermediate position. The total value of exergy losses is reduced by approximately 30% by the way of improvement of evaporator design keeping the same refrigerating capacity.
