POWER IS CONSUMED IN A COOLING TOWER, TO MOVE THE AIR AND WATER. CAREFUL DESIGN AND SELECTION OF FANS AND PUMPS, AND ATTENTION TO THE DISTRIBUTION THROUGH THE TOWER PACKING, WILL GIVE BEST THE MOST ECONOMICAL PERFORMANCE. WATER FLOW SHOULD BE WITHIN THE MANUFACTURER'S DESIGN LIMITS, TO ENSURE GOOD COVERAGE OF THE PACKING. FAN SPEED MAY BE REDUCED IN COOL WEATHER, TO CONTROL WATER TEMPERATURE AND SAVE POWER. A.R.T.
