Energy efficient HVAC system in the indoor swimming pool facilities.

Summary
Indoor swimming pools have different comfort conditions and different air quality compared to other typical buildings. These specific conditions are at a significantly higher temperature of 28-32°C and a relative humidity of up to 60%, with continuous evaporation of water from the wet surfaces and harmful airborne chlorine compounds. Special emphasis should be put on providing users appropriate conditions for a comfortable and healthy stay, as well as on protecting of the building against moisture. To ensure these conditions it is necessary to apply an appropriate HVAC system, especially in a temperate and cold climate. Traditionally, systems used consume large amounts of energy. The solution can be a decentralized pool hall ventilation system, use of proper preparation in the air handling unit depending on the building envelope, surface heating and building partitions with low heat transfer coefficients. The appropriate parameters in the various zones of the facility: swimming pool, ceiling space and the audience should be ensured, because each has different needs and requirements for its use. These issues will be developed in the paper.
