Summary

FROM THE PHYSICAL STUDY OF THE BASIC FACTORS DETERMINING ENERGY LOSSES IN PISTON REFRIGERANT COMPRESSORS AND STUFFING BOXES, BY MEANS OF A GENERALISED VARIABLE METHOD, THE AUTHORS DERIVED THE CRITERIA AND THE SIMILARITY RATIO CHARACTERISING THESE LOSSES. THE GENERALISED VARIABLES ARE USED FOR THE PROCESSING AND ANALYSIS OF TEST RESULTS. CONCLUSIONS ARE DRAWN ON THE EFFECT OF PISTON DIAMETER, THE HEIGHT OF THE WORKING PART OF THE PISTON, OPERATION AND FREQUENCES OF ROTATION ON ENERGY LOSSES IN COMPRESSORS AND THE RELATIVITY OF COMPRESSOR MECHANICAL EFFICIENCY IS SHOWN AS AN ENERGETIC CHARACTERISTIC.
