Summary

INNOVATIVE COST-SAVING VENTILATION AND AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEMS OFFER ADVANTAGES TO REGIONS OTHER THAN EUROPE AND JAPAN, WHICH WERE THE FIRST TO USE THEM. CLIMATIC CONDITIONS IN DESERT AND TROPICAL REGIONS POSE DIFFERING DEMANDS ON EQUIPMENT PERFORMANCE, AS IS BROUGHT OUT IN A COMPARISON OF ENERGY-RECOVERY YIELDS OF 4 HVAC YTMISAETN BAGHDAD, SINGAPORE, BERLIN AND TOKYO. THE RESULTS SHOW THAT MAJOR ENERGY SAVINGS ARE NOT RESTRICTED TO AREAS WITH MODERATE CLIMATE AND THAT REGENERATORS ARE TO BE PREFERRED OVER RECUPERATORS IN HIGH-COMFORT BUILDING, AND IN INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES.
