Summary
Fixed-type air conditioners, normally called "ground coolers", are provided for cooling and heating service to parked aircrafts, in most of the main airports in Japan. The paper introduces a newly developed, energy-saving type "ground cooler", a combination system of cooling tower and cooling coil for precooling to supply conditioned air.
