Summary

40% of the energy consumed by an office building is for air conditioner and cooling/heating plant. Management and control of building air conditioner and cooling/heating plant today are mostly automated, and so is energy saving. This report describes energy-saving technique based on the automated control including: CO2 control, outdoor air cooling control, adjustable temperature setpoint, efficient operation of cooling/heating plant, variable flow control of primary pump and of secondary pump, variable flow control of chilled water pump.
