Energy savings in room air-conditioning installations.
[In German. / En allemand.]

Type of article: Article
Summary
Most of the energy consumed by room air-conditioning installations is used in transporting the air by the fan-motor unit in form of electrical energy, ie, a high-quality type of energy. Proposals are made for an energy optimized construction of the central air conditioner. In applying the proposed measures, like reduction of the air velocity, and use of optimized components and control possibilities, energy consumption can be reduced by a total of about 50%. L.P.
