Entropy generation in ice slurry pipe flow.

Author(s) : BOUZID N., SAOULI S., AIBOUD-SAOULI S.

Type of article: Article, IJR article

Summary

The purpose of this work is to investigate the entropy generation in ice slurry pipe flow. Fully developed laminar flow is considered with uniform heat flux at the walls. The fluid behaves as a non-Newtonian fluid following the power-law model. Expressions for velocity, entropy generation number and average entropy generation number are obtained as function of mass fraction of ice and the dimensionless group parameter.
