Summary
The authors examined the method of the quantitative environmental assessment of building utilities. At the first stage, LCCO2 (life cycle green-house effect gases) was adopted as the measure of global warming impact, and the calculation method with the data was provided. The LCCO2 assessment method was applied to 18 types of heat source and air conditioning system which were assumed for a model office building. And one type was selected and its calculation procedure was explained in detail. In addition, it was evaluated quantitatively by LCCO2 how each energy conservation means is effective on reduction of environmental loads.
