Environmental regulations and industrial valves.
Face aux réglementations sur l'environnement : la robinetterie industrielle.
Author(s) : OSTERMANN J. N.
Type of article: Periodical article
Summary
In the US, the Clean Air Act has set limits on the concentration of methane in atmospheric emissions. Designers of valves and sealing equipment are increasingly using helium as a reference fluid for quality testing. When leakage in terms of ppm of helium or methane is examined, a certain degree of correlation between these two gases appears to emerge. However, valve for valve, discrepancies are wide.
