EUTECTIC SYSTEMS TESTS: EXTRAPOLATION OF RESULTS.

Summary

USING AN ADDITIONAL ELECTRICAL LOAD THE AUTHORS CHECKED THE POSSIBLE SIMULATION OF THE CHANGE IN THE OVERALL HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT OF AN INSULATED VEHICLE DURING THE PERFORMANCE TESTING OF AN EUTECTIC PLATE SYSTEM. IT APPEARS THERE ISA LINEAR RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE VARIATION IN THE KS VALUE AND THE VARIATION OF THE TIME REQUIRED FOR THE DECREASE IN THE INTERNAL TEMPERATURE TO 253 K (-20 DEG C). ONE CAN THEREFORE PROPOSE THE EXTRAPOLATION OF TEST DATA IN ORDER TO DETERMINE THE LIMIT OF VARIATION IN THE KS VALUE.
